Stay Safe and Follow the Law
Lipat Bumi Sdn. Bhd. maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards violations of the Code of Conduct that we hold our independent e-hailing drivers accountable to as part of the Lipat Bumi community. This guideline provides details of infringements that may result in suspension or termination of user access to the Lipat Bumi platform.
Requirements:
- You must hold a valid national driving and vocational license at all times and other permits as required by the relevant authorities.
- Your vehicle must be insured as stipulated by local regulations.
- You must be truthful about your criminal record and ensure all documents are updated and resubmitted as required by Lipat Bumi.
Respect Our Users
We expect all drivers to treat passengers with respect. Harassment, abuse, or assault of any kind is strictly prohibited.
Examples of Infringement:
- Attempted or actual criminal acts, including physical assault, sexual harassment, or kidnapping.
- Verbal or physical abuse, including inappropriate comments or gestures.
- Contacting or stalking passengers after the trip for personal reasons.
Do Not Commit Crimes
If you commit any criminal acts such as theft, robbery, possession of illicit materials or weapons, or vandalism, you may be penalized under the prevailing law. Lipat Bumi works closely with law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute offenders.
Examples of Infringement:
- Committing any criminal offenses under state law.
- Intentional damage to passenger or company property.
- Failure to comply with Lipat Bumi's regulations or government instructions.
Follow Road Safety Laws
Always drive safely and follow traffic laws. This includes complying with speed limits, using a hands-free kit, ensuring all passengers wear seatbelts, and taking necessary breaks during long hours of driving.
Examples of Infringement:
- Violating traffic regulations and causing harm to passengers or others on the road.
- Driving without a valid license or insurance.
- Operating a vehicle while fatigued or distracted.
Alcohol, Drugs, and Weapons are Not Tolerated
Do not consume alcohol or drugs while using the Lipat Bumi platform. Possessing illegal substances, open containers of alcohol, or weapons in your vehicle is prohibited.
Examples of Infringement:
- Possession of weapons or illegal substances in the vehicle.
- Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs during a ride.
- Using the platform for criminal activities such as trafficking or transportation of illicit goods.
Look After Your Vehicle
Ensure your vehicle is in good condition and complies with industry safety standards and local regulations. Only use the vehicle that is registered with Lipat Bumi.
Examples of Infringement:
- Complaints about the condition of safety equipment (e.g., seatbelt, helmet).
- Driving a different vehicle or license plate than what is registered with Lipat Bumi.
- Permitting someone else to use your vehicle for e-hailing services without authorization.
Maintain Good Hygiene
Regularly clean and disinfect your vehicle to maintain a safe environment for both yourself and your passengers. Adhere to local hygiene standards and recommendations.
Examples of Infringement:
- Failing to maintain vehicle cleanliness or personal hygiene.
- Driving while unwell or failing to follow health guidelines such as wearing a mask if required.
